Mandela Day - Bottles of hope
We launched a “Bottles of Hope” project for Mandela day. Each jar was filled with rice, soup mix, lentils, soup powder and a stock cube. We received over 200 bottles which were distributed to the Mooiplaas community.
A number of volunteers gave of their time on Mandela Day on the 18th July 2020 to assist with various projects at the preschool. The volunteers spent a productive but fun morning sanding and painting playground equipment and painting tyres for the bicycle track. They also spent many hours sorting and cleaning out the storerooms. Thanks to Baby Therapy centre, Love life and the department of sport and recreation for your donation of food, supplies and time.
How to help with donations
Our day-care center creates an environment of love, security, education, stability for venerable children between the ages of 3 to 6 in and around the Mooiplaas area. With your help, we aim to expand the school to include orphans, children from child-headed households and children whose parents are unfit to work. Help us make a difference in the lives of these children by sponsoring a child.
